      Ed Mumford, diamond driller for Howey Gold Mine, Red Lake, 1940. Howey Gold Mine began production in 1930, and continued for eleven years. It closed in 1941 due to a collapse in the shaft pillar in the open pit area of the mine.

      Cochenour-Williams Mine was located three miles north of Red Lake Ontario. This mine produced 46 million dollars worth of gold in the span from 1939-1971 and was part of the 'Golden Triangle'.

      Campbell's trenching and exploration with rich gold showings, attracted Dome Mines. Campbell-Red Lake mine produced 926.5 million dollars worth of gold ore by the end of 1984.

      Gold Eagle Mines located on McKenzie Island. Gold Eagle Mine started gold production October 1937 and closed September 1941. The name was changed to Goldray Mines Ltd. in 1959.
