      This house was located on the north-east corner of Thickson Road and Dundas Street East in Whitby, Ontario. Russell M. Preston was a Whitby resident for 44 years and enjoyed taking photographs of buildings around Whitby.

      This was located at 1200 Dundas Street East and dates back as early as the 1820s. The archway over the door shows the original size of the doorway which was later filled in with stones. It was demolished in 1963. This shop was part of the Hamer's Corners settlement.
