      The cornerstone of the Oakville High School located on Reynolds Street was laid in 1908, prior to that it had been housed in the old Oakville Public School building. in 1947 it was renamed Oakville Trafalgar High School. In 1992 it was moved to its current location on Devon Road.

      The little boy holding the whip is Victor Wilson of Sheridan. Circa 1913. The train was used by area farmers to take produce into the large Toronto market.       Front row, right are Emily and Emma (Gilby), the two sisters who had come with their parents from England in 1850. Emily married George Hardy. Alisemon Hardy, their daughter, married Alfred Wilson in 1899.

      Between 1908 and 1909, a water system was installed through Oakville. The system reservoir was built near Lake Ontario between Kerr and Wilson Streets. Building this system, meant fire department services could be better organized. This photograph is mounted as a post card.
