      Dinner-plate sized, ornate. Made of porcelain. Inscribed “The Fathers of Confederation 1867-1967 Canada Centennial”. Has an image of The Fathers of Confederation in the center and the flags for each province around the edges. Made by Alpine White Ironstone Wood & Sons in England.

      The construction of this building started in 1832. In 1836 classes started at the “Upper Canada Academy”. It was officially named Victoria College in 1841. In 1890 it federated with the University of Toronto and moved to Toronto in 1892.

      Hotel Cedarmere was a private residence located on what is now known as Ontario Street before James Crowther turned it into a hotel. The hotel was demolished in 1933.

      The Arlington Hotel in Cobourg was located on King Street East before it was demolished in 1937. The land is now a part of Victoria Park.

      2 plates from the dinner service of the Ravensworth home in Cobourg. The Ravensworth home is a 4 bed, 4 bath waterfront mansion built circa 1897 for a distinguished officer. It is a Georgian styled, symmetrical building with Greek columns.

      The building was built in 1878 and was the residence of William Riddell, the first individual to be granted a Bachelor of Science from the Victoria College in 1877.
