      Portrait of Janet Jerusha "Eva" Gilbert with her brother Douglas, children of William and Janet Gilbert. The portrait was taken at a studio on Yonge Street in Toronto. Eva later married Fred Darlington. Carola and Eva were sisters, and they married two Darlington brothers.

      Reverse: [stamped] "Herbert J. Holtom, 544 Bayview Ave, Toronto, Ont. HU.8-8530" Grey Roots Museum and Archives holds the evening dress and the rotating pendulum clock in their archives.

      Inscription on a photocopied version of this image says: "1953 Agnes Macphail just a while before she died. Taking her home from hospital"; "far left Gertha Reany, Jean Clunas, Agnes, Sandy Macphail [sic]". A family member has since identified the identity of the woman on the left as Lilly Bailey.

      Condition: Fair. Some detail seems lost; uneven tone; looks like it had been ripped out of an album?

      Margaret Grace Gilbert (1909-2002)is pictured, on the right with her brother William Tracy Gilbert (1912-1978). They were the children of William and Christina Breckon. This photo was taken by a photographer, James Dixon, in Toronto.

      Condition: Photo is not matted and therefore is susceptible to being bent or torn – Handle Carefully!; the photo is also very dirty and stained with a bit of silvering in the image.

      Condition: Photo is very dirty and stained; image is purposely brown toned and the paper has turned yellow/brown fairly severely making image appear faded. Photo is in okay condition.

      Condition: Photo is very dirty and stained and like 111ph, the image has been purposely toned brown but the paper has turned yellow/brown making image harder to see. Keep this photo out of sunlight for long periods of time and in correct humidity. Limit exposure to elements.
