      This is a black and white photo of the Thessalon walking swing bridge. The bridge crosses the Thessalon river. The bridge is constructed of wood and cables. It uses small cut logs for upright supports along its length.

      Notes in the Sunnyside Women's Institute, Volume 3, which has a copy of this photo, state that this photo was taken in 1923.

      Notes attached to this photo read: "Picture taken early 1900's. 1. Harry Davidson 2. George Shaw 3. Tom Buchanan. Red Bridge over the Thessalon River." These numbers refer to the homes in the pictures.

      Notes indicate that the photo was taken in 1957 and shows the completion of the rebuilt 'N & S' school bridge piers.
