      Annie and Katie are sisters-in-law. Annie's maiden name was Hadden. Annie married Percy Bottomley and Katie never married.

      H. O. Boorse was an immigrant from Culpsville Pennsylania when he was twenty. He married Annie Cole, of South RIver, in 1885. H. O. was a clerk at the West End Supply Depot. H. O. moved his family to Alberta in 1906.

      Katie Bottomley (1881-1971) is the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Bottomley, who emigrated from England and settled in Machar township in 1885. Katie never married and inherited the family homestead from her parents. She worked on the farm with her brother, Tom, until they sold it in the 1940s.

      Mr. William Detta's parents and their seven children emigrated from Germany in 1884. William married Clara Schneider and built on the old family homestead, in the 1920s, a hunting lodge known as "Deer Lake Lodge."

      Julius Detta was born in Hettstedt, Germany September 28th, 1842. He died July 23rd, 1911. He is buried in Lount. Louisa Detta Sohm was born September 2nd, 1870. She died April 13th 1955. She is buried in Eagle Lake Cemetery. This looks like a copy of a tin type.

      Fred Detta was born October 15, 1894. William was born May 10, 1900. William is buried in Rye.

      Christian Dunker was born in 1834, he immigrated from Germany. He died in 1906.

      The Erven family has been in Canada since the 1850s, with some of the Erven children still residing in the South River area. The Erven farm was located on Concession 5.
