      Built in 1837 by J. B. Warren, this flour mill was run by him until 1865 after which it changed possession numerous times until it was demolished in 1981. It was located on the east side of the Oshawa Creek on King Street, in an area known as the Hollow.

      To deal with unsatisfactory health conditions in the town, sixty women from various churches established the Hospital Auxiliary in 1907 to raise funds for the building of a hospital.
