      The Fisher's lived on "Fishers Island" in the Ottawa River prior to the building of the Dam at Swisha. The island was across from the town of Stonecliffe. Jack used to build an ice rink in the winter for the kids.

      The story goes, that Mike Simond was drinking at the McKechnie's hotel one night and he died when he walked out the fire escape thinking it was the bathroom door. He worked for Joan Charbonneau's father.
