      The building was at 244 Main Street East. The Metropolitan Bank was taken over by the Bank of Nova Scotia. The building was eventually demolished and replaced with the new Bank of Nova Scotia Building. Three copies of photograph.

      Looking west, in the centre of the picture is the old Town Hall (now offices) and to the right is the old power station which was demolished.

      These two stores formed part of the Dewar Block on the corner of Main and Martin Streets. They were built in 1887. These two stores now house Delacourt's and Nature's Fire. Three copies of photograph.
