      One postcard/photo taken by Geo. W. Graham of the soldiers of the 147 Greys leaving for overseas. They left Camp Borden October 5th 1916 for Halifax. From there they boarded a ship and landed in Liverpool November 20th.

      Pte. Fred Smith of Eugenia Falls, Ontario was a member of the 15th Canadian Battalion. He died a prisoner of war in 1918 and was buried near Neuchatel, Switzerland.

      The Kimberly Public School was built in 1872.

      SS #13 was built in 1876.

      The brick school house was built in 1887. The bell was bought in 1892 and cost $10. The school closed in 1968 and students were sent to Macphail Memorial School in Flesherton.

      This photo may have been taken after Aaron's wife Henrietta (Wilkinson) died in 1893. Which is why she is not present. Aaron Jr. died in 1918 and Minnie took over the Munshaw Hotel with her husband.

      W.K. Flesher in his captain's uniform for the No. 6 Company, Flesherton, of the 31st Grey Regiment which was organized September 14, 1866.

      Held a number of businesses including a general store, post office, grocery, feed store, barber shop. It burned down Decemeber 1910.

      Building owned by R.J. Sproule held several business and took up the entire block.

      Founded by A.R. Fawcett, the paper was printed here until the end of the century when it moved to Durham Street. The building no longer exisits.
