      This is a baptismal record of Albert Hiram Anderson. Albert is the son of Samuel Adam Anderson and Minnie Miller. The baptism took place at Lady Willingdon Hospital in Ohsweken Ontario on May 26, 1938. Hiram died as an infant or newborn.

      The Brock Theatre was built between 1937-1938 on the east side of Brock Street North, opposite Elm Street, by William Goodman and John G. Strathy. The theatre opened on 7 April 1938.

      King Street School was built in 1921 on the block bounded by King, Dunlop, Henry, and Gilbert Streets. It was built to replace Henry Street School which burned down in 1920. In 1979 it was renamed R.A. Sennett Public School in honour of its first principal who served from 1921-1952.

      Emmanuel Sleep (1824-1910) and Elizabeth Bone came to Canada from Cornwall, England. They had four sons and were prosperous farmers in the Oshawa-Whitby region. Their second eldest son, Robert Sleep (1858-1940) was born at Oshawa-on-the-Lake and married Johanna Jackson Bengough (1859-1934). Robert and Johanna had six children.
