      Construction started in 1944. There have been six name changes since construction. Today it is known as Marathon Pulp Inc. Owned by Tembec/Kruger.

      This photo was taken on July 28th, 1944, during the construction of the Canadian National iron ore dock and trestle at Port Arthur, Ontario. We would appreciate any information regarding the name of the equipment in use, and any description of the work being done.

      Black and white photo (#3) of Port Arthur Ore Dock as seen from the east. Pilings were driven into an area 900 by 60 feet. In the background, a suction dredge, called Primrose, is in operation. The contract for dredging was won by the Canadian Dredge and Dock Company.
