      The post office was opened in 1910 at the south-west corner of Dundas and Brock Streets. It closed in 1956 and was demolished in 1959.

      St. Bernard's Separate School was opened in 1926 at the north-east corner of Centre and Dundas Streets. An addition was constructed in 1950. The school was closed in 1975 and demolished in 1987.

      Spencer School was built in 1877 on lot 30, Concession 7 in Whitby Township. It was known as Union School Section No.6. The school closed in 1965 but the building was used as Spencer Community Centre from 1967.
