      Lucy Brooking operated a small elementary school in the home of her parents on Anne Street, Cobourg in 1896. Later, Miss Brooking moved to Toronto to teach at St. Margaret's College and at Alexandria Industrial School. Miss Brooking died in Toronto around 1945.

      This headstone is located in the Second Onondaga Baptist Church Cemetery which was established after the church was built in 1854. The Church and Cemetery are located on 330 Baptist Church Road, 0.3 km south of Mulligan Road. Location: 10-13

      This is the original brick schoolhouse built at Palermo, Trafalgar Township in 1875. The school was hit by lightening and ultimately destroyed, with a new building for the school opening in 1942.
