      This deed is for the land referred to as the Gutzmann homestead, a log home once located on Black Bay Road in Petawawa, ON.

      This is a one page letter written to family members back home by Abner Ingleheart Hopkins as of October 9, 1895. It details his adventures after leaving home to seek work and a future as a farmer. It is a humorous account of his trials and travels.

      For many years this was the home of the minister of the Holiness Movement Church. Renovations were made by Gary Preston while he lived here in the late 1960’s. Later owners were Mr. and Mrs. Burt Hudson, and R. Piper.
