      Belonged to Lavinia (Ferris) Wiley who was born in 1868 in Kimberly. She married Samuel Wiley (Mountain Sam) and they lived on the farm on top of Talisman Mountain. Lavinia is the grandmother of Elva (Wiley) Phillips and Helen (Wiley) Turner of Flesherton.

      This picture shows the first traction steam engine east of Toronto at Pat Grady's farm at Audley. The engine was built by the Waterloo Manufacturing Company of Waterloo, Ontario.

      Coldstream Farm was on lot 30 of Concession 1 south of Highway 2 at Lynde Creek in Whitby Township.

      The stone house was located on lot 30 on the north side of Rossland Road (Concession 3)and east of McQuay Blvd. (D'Hilliar Street) in Whitby Township. It was built in the 1840s or 1850s for Sylvester Lynde (1800-1883), a son of Jabez Lynde. The house was destroyed by fire on …
