      This is a postcard with a drawing of the Harley Homestead from 1951, where it is presumed Archibald Harley resided. The verandah shown in the drawing has since been renovated into a closed den.

      This postcard depicts a class at the Oakland Public School in 1910. The teacher is Kate Halliday Hunter, who briefly taught there; however, she was married on December 28th, 1910, and at that time married women were not permitted to teach. The postcard was sent to her, and dated 1912. …

      This postcard is a divided back postcard with a postal rate listed of 1 cent, which indicates it was printed between 1903 and 1914.

      The design of the stamp window on the back indicates that it was printed roughly 1905 - 1909. This is an Azo postcard.

      A note on the back of the postcard suggests it was taken c. 1917-1918. The lack of reference to postage to Europe supports this.
