 Quinte West Public Library, The Trentonian, Trenton, 1967     Six of Trenton’s beard growers were presented at a Kiwanis Club civic night. The Beards displayed various stages of growth.

 Quinte West Public Library, The Trentonian, Trenton, 1971     John McLaughlin recieved the Best Soap Box Trophy during the annual Soap Box Derby. James Rayner presented the trophy to John McLaughlin.

      Dieter Rolf, Joseph Neil, David Walt, Dominic Sapio and Albert Ethelston are displayed in the Trentionian for Best Groomed, Bushiest Beard, Just Checking, Oldest Entrant and Appropriate Costume.

      Janice Scott won the Powder Puff Derby and Luc Magne won the annual Soap Box Derby that was held by the Kinsmen Club.
