      Hilda Maria (neè Hakala) and Anselm Haapa of Finland had a family farm in Schreiber between the years of 1915-1962. The farm was located from the south end of Winnipeg Street to the current location of Costa's Foodateria. Ansel was a hired contractor for the CPR as well.
