      Hilda Maria (neè Hakala) and Anselm Haapa of Finland had a family farm in Schreiber between the years of 1915-1962. The farm was located from the south end of Winnipeg Street to the current location of Costa's Foodateria. Ansel was a hired contractor for the CPR as well.

      Cardboard framed photograph of the Roman Catholic churches in Schreiber, the Guardian Angel Church on the left, and Holy Angels Church on the right. Both of these churches were torn down and only the Holy Angels Church was rebuilt.
