      The Carnegie Library was built 1903-1905 with funds from the Carnegie Foundation. A new library building was constructed in 1966 and this building became police headquarters and is now the Habitat for Humanity headquarters. See reverse for postmark.

      Postcard shows Kitchener-Waterloo Municipal Airport that was located by the Lexington Road and Bridge Street intersection. The airport was also known as the Lexington Airport. The Kitchener-Waterloo Municipal Airport opened in 1929 at 291 Lexington Road, Waterloo.

      The first City Hall was built at the corner of Albert and Erb Streets in 1874. The city offices moved in 1961, and the building was demolished in 1969. The fire hall was built circa 1870 and was demolished in 1966.

      Louis F. Dietrich owned and operated Dietrich's Garage at 79 King street south. A taxi service was also operated out of this garage. Louis served as Reeve and later Mayor in 1929 and 1930.

      The Sunshine Waterloo Company (later SunarHauserman Limited) was started in 1930 as a joint venture of the H.V. McKay Company of Melbourne, Australia and the Waterloo Manufacturing Company, Limited to make combines for the North American and Argentine markets.
