      The Spring and Axle Co. building was originally built in 1918. It was located on Ritson Road north of Colborne Street It reported to the parent company Ontario Steel Products Ltd. (in Gananoque). The company stopped production at this plant in 1975, and it was demolished.

      R. S. Williams moved his piano factory from Toronto to Oshawa in 1891 and took over this building once occupied by Joseph Hall Works. It was located on the north side of Richmond Street between Simcoe and Church (now Centre) Streets. It was demolished in 1968.
