      This sepia-toned white-bordered postcard shows a steamboat departing or arriving at the pier at Grimsby Beach. Several people stand at the far edge of the pier waving to the occupants of the steamer.

      Lake View Hotel was located at the end of Betts Avenue, with a view of the lake. It burned to the ground in 1918. Note the fire escape ladders extending from the third floor to the second floor.

      The postcard shows the stamp of a previous owner as well as some tears.

      This is a poster announcing the Wardell Family Reunion on July 1st, 1912. It would be a picnic with speakers and was going to be held at Grimsby Beach. Grimsby Beach was famous for the picnic accommodations they provided.

      The temple was built in 1886 so there is an obvious difference between the two aerial views. The temple isn't the only difference which shows the growth of Grimsby Park.
