      The Waterworks pump house was built in 1904 on the lakeshore between Whitby Harbour and Heydenshore Park. An additional pump house was built o the east of this building in 1959. The original building ceased to be used when a third pump house was completed in 1978.

      The Canadian Pacific Railway Station in Whitby was located on the east side of Brock Street, south of the tracks.

      The tower was located a short distance west of Garden Street and was built in 1913. It was demolished after the Port Whitby and Port Perry Railway tracks were removed in 1941.

      This switching tower, south-east of Brooklin, was built in 1910 when the Canadian Northern Railway crossed the Port Whitby and Port Perry Railway. It was demolished around the 1930s.

      The McClellan family family of Ireland emigrated to Bowmanville in the mid-nineteenth century. Charles Arthur McClellan (1872-1958) was the eldest son of James and Rachel McClellan.       The Canadian Pacific Railway station was built in 1913 on the south side of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks and on the east side of Brock Street. It later served as an express office and was closed in 1971. It was demolished in 1977.
