      The Whitby District High School was built in 1954 at 600 Henry Street. It was called Henry Street High School after 1960.

      Whitby District High School was built in 1953 and officially opened by Dr. C.F. Cannon, Deputy Minister of Education, on 5 November 1954. The school, now known as Henry Street High School, is located on the west side of Henry Street.
