      Crest believed to have been one of many designed and submitted to the Home Coming committee for a contest held in 1989. Records show it was in use prior to 1993.

      Mackey Park is situated where St. Narcissus Parish used to be located. The church was demolished in 1950 when the Des Joachims (Swisha) Dam rose the water level of the Ottawa River. The community of Mackey Station (now called Mackey) had to be relocated to higher ground.

      This horse was being crossed in the rapids at Deux Rivierés. The men were heading to the Cotnam and Kumm camp on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River.

      Due to the trees that are cut along the bank of the river, this photograph was likely taken at the end of the 1940s before the water levels of the Ottawa River were raised by the dam at Rapides-des-Joachims.
