      This water tower was built in Kinsmen Park in 1947. It was demolished in September 1979. Kinsmen Park is located on the block bounded by Byron, Walnut, Chestnut and Centre Streets.

      Inverlynn, at the northwest corner of Raglan and Giffard Streets, was built in 1860. In 1971 the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation filmed the outdoor scenes for the television series 'Whiteoaks of Jalna', using Inverlynn as 'Jalna', the home of the Whiteoak family in Mazo De La Roche's novels.

      Burr Lodge was built in 1854-55 for James Wallace. It is located between Centre and King Streets, facing James Street. Later owners included Chester Draper, Frank Burr Mosure, Lyman T. Barclay and Harold Phinn. In the 1920s it was stripped of its verandah and converted into apartments.

      This house, at the southwest corner of King and St. John Streets, was built in 1914 for Dr. Horace Bascom, Registrar of the Ontario County Courts and later Sheriff. After Dr. Bascom's death in 1956 the house was owned by Duncan McIntyre.
