      Joseph Patrick Bandel was the son of Louis S. Bandel. Joseph managed the Whitby House hotel for a year after the death of his father.

      Herb Wilson's meat market was located at 114 Dundas Street West on the north side of Dundas Street between Brock and Byron Streets. Herb Polson was a meat salesman who supplied butcher shops in Whitby.

      This building was located at 121 Brock Street North. W.E. Hewis' Meat MArket was located in the south store of the Hewis Block on the east side of Brock Street North.

      Herb Wilson’s Meat Market was located at 114 Dundas Street West on the north side of Dundas Street about mid way between Byron and Brock Streets. The store was built in 1922 by Tony Bandel as a butcher shop.

      Turansky Grocery Store was located at 148 Brock Street North. In 1924 Katherine Turansky (wife of Joseph Turansky) opened a grocery store in an old house at 148 Brock Street North.
