 Georgetown Herald, 1925     Margaret Howden Finlay, wife of Ron Harrison, a Toronto police officer. She separated from her husband and operated summer bungalows, Walmer Lodge, near Beaverton, with her brother Wallace. She died in 1974 at Georgetown. Margaret was the youngest daughter of Edward Finlay (1847-1912).

      2nd building on right is 91 to 97 Main Street South. Notice the 5 windows on the 2nd floor. Only 4 windows remain (2009).

      Physical details: Photograph has been poorly re-touched along the roof-line and the tower; otherwise, it is in good condition.

      Original frame Wesleyan Methodist Church, built 1841, and was moved in 1876 to James Street. It is shown on James Street in the service of J. S. Ruddy as a car garage and for sign painting. Joseph S. Ruddy was a painter in Georgetown in 1901. He died in 1931. …
