      Quinton Shoe Store was located at 225 Brock Street South. The building was constructed in the 1850s on the east side of Brock Street north of Dunlop Street and was demolished in 1961. It was occupied by Robert Henry Quinton (1868-1958) from 1906 to 1958.

      Thomas McCann Grocery Store was located at 227 Brock Street South. This frame building was constructed in the 1850s on the east side of Brock Street, north of Dunlop Street. It stood south of Quinton’s shoe store. It was demolished in 1977.

      This photograph looks east on Dundas Street from Brock Street. The standard Bank building later became the Bank of Commerce. This building stood on the north east corner of Brock and Dundas Streets until it was demolished in 1964.

      This office was located at 128 Brock Street South. It was replaced by the Public Utilities building in 1948-9.

      The Royal Hotel was located at 171 Brock Street North, Whitby. It was built in 1873 on the east side of Brock Street, south of Mary Street. At the time this print was made, Antoine Rousseau was the hotel's operator.

      Roy W. Talling Menswear Store was located around 123 Brock Street South.

      Herb Wilson’s Meat Market was located at 126 Dundas Street West on the north side of Dundas Street between Byron Street and Brock Street.

      Hewis Brothers' Butcher Shop was located at 121 Brock Street North. It was in the north store of the McMillan Block on Brock Street north which was purchased by the Hewis family in 1912.
