      This horse was being crossed in the rapids at Deux Rivierés. The men were heading to the Cotnam and Kumm camp on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River.

      Due to the trees that are cut along the bank of the river, this photograph was likely taken at the end of the 1940s before the water levels of the Ottawa River were raised by the dam at Rapides-des-Joachims.

      For years Roy flew patrons into the Magnassippi fish and game club in Quebec. Supplies were loaded at the dock in Deux Rivieres.

      This was the Boissonneault homestead. It was also the local post office, grocer, and automobile service station. This picture was taken after the building of the Des Joachims Dam (Swisha project). This one-stop-shop was built in 1947-1948. André Boissonneault bought his first truck and worked moving gravel for the construction …
