      Dr. George Wesley Hall had a passion for the airplane.

      Dr. George Wesley Hall’s passion for the airplane led him to fly as a passenger in Bishop Barker’s float plane. Picture taken in the early 1920s.

      Photography was also a hobby of Dr. George Wesley Hall. Today there are 1000s of pictures from the Dr. George Wesley era. Many of these pictures are on glass slides. The fact that he had x-ray equipment helped in developing the pictures.

      Dr. and Mrs. George Wesley Hall enjoyed travelling. They travelled extensively to Europe in 1927, and throughout Canada and the U.S.

      Mrs. G.W. Hall knew that the vote for women could not be won by isolated individuals. She pulled supporters together through various societies such as the Woman's Christian Temperance Union.

      Dr. George Wesley Hall belonged to many organizations that bettered his community. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge, which raised money for social causes. Dr. George Wesley Hall contributed to the recreation facilities of his community by purchasing shares in the Oakwood Co-Op Rink Company in 1923.

      Dr. George Wesley Hall’s medical practice was state of the art, and had radium and x-Ray before any other rural area in this county.
