      In the early years of 2000, the house was moved from its location on Mary Street to Bell Street. This was to accommodate the expansion of the Town Hall and the accompanying parking areas.

      The 50-acre farm property and house, purchased in 1898 by George Blair, was north of the boundary of the Village of Burlington. The house front west elevation faces Brant Street; the address was formerly 687 Brant Street. This property was designated under the Ontario Heritage Act in 2000.
