      This article appears to be the third in a series of articles discussing the effect of the ups and downs of the lumber industry on the town of Blind River. This piece covers a period from 1929 to 1958.

      Article four in this series discusses the 1968 announcement by Domtar of the closure of the local mill. The last whistle blew at 5 pm on June 19, 1969 and saw 300 people join the 300-400 who had already been laid off.
