      This Institute was named after the Mountain Union Sunday School which was located on the Bell School Line. Their first meeting was held on the farm on which the Sunday School was located, originally a Bell farm. SCAN ONLY

      Wilfrid Laurier University is located in Waterloo, Ontario. It began in 1911 as the Evangelical Lutheran Seminary of Canada. In 1924 Waterloo College was established, providing courses in post-secondary education. In 1960 Waterloo College became Waterloo Lutheran University, and in 1973 changed its name to Wilfrid Laurier University.

      The Petrie house and Magnet Inn stood at the southwest corner of Jones and Lakeshore Road, Bronte. This photograph was taken in July or August 1974 by standing across the road in front of Centriller Public School, looking east to Jones Street. Both now demolished.
