      The Whitby District High School (Henry Street High School) was built between 1953 and 1954. It was officially opened by Dr. C.F. Cannon, Deputy Minister of Education, on 5 November 1954. The chimney was built before the rest of the school was constructed.

      The Whitby Community Arena was built between 1953 and 1954 on the site of the Burns and Taylor arena. The Community Arena was official opened on 29 September 1954. It operated until 1972, when it was condemned under provincial building standards and demolished.

      The Brock Street Public School was built in 1916 on the east side of Brock Street south of Victoria Street. Also known as the Bay School, it served Port Whitby until it closed in 1969. The building was demolished in 1998.

      Whitby Collegiate Institute was built in 1873 and was located on the south side of Colborne Street between King and Centre Streets. The school was demolished in 1975-1976.

      This brick house was originally called Lakeview Hall. It was built in 1875 for John Rice, a farmer and secretary-treasurer of the Ontario Ladies' College. In the early 1970s, the house was renamed Toad Hall.
