      The President of the Society for 1947 was: George Tait. Secretary/Treasurer: Mrs. Boville. Auditors: George Nicholson and Mrs. A. Martin. Expenses totalled $4,451.31 and Receipts $4,534.43 leaving $83.12 on hand.

      In 1946 there were 74 telephones in use and 73 1/2 miles of single wire.

      This financial report is for the year 1947 and was issued by the Iron Bridge Electrical Company to its shareholders. It includes the Operating Expenses, income-profit and loss statement, and current assets on hand

      This black and white photo shows the original "Iron Bridge" that gave the town its name. The photo shows the entire span of the bridge over the river and the river still appears to have ice on it. A small sign reads "narrow bridge".

      Joe LePage used his horses for skidding logs for Ed Ansley. This photo was taken on the Ansley farm in Wharncliff.

      Notes indicate that this picture was probably taken at her Iron Bridge home. They also state that Evelyn married Ray Howson Walker August 14,1946 and that they had two children, Larry and Judy. This photo can be found in the Gardiner/Allen Scrapbook 1700's -1954.
