      This house was built about 1878 by Whitby Township farmer Mark Crawforth (1857-1934) about the time of his marriage. It was located on the north side of the Base Line at the Whitby - East Whitby Township border. The house was demolished about 1998.

      The crops and livestock on the farm included: potatoes, lettuce and cattle. The farm and the land was later donated to the Seventh Day Adventist Mission.

      Louisa Detta Sohm was born September 2nd, 1870. She died April 13th 1955. She is buried in Eagle Lake Cemetery. The man is her son Alex Detta.
