      The school was opened in 1847, it was located just south of the McConaghy Public school. The postcard was originally owned by Mrs. J. Pollard.

      Edith Alford died as a child in North Dakota and her family eventually came back to Chaffey's Lock. They were grandchildren of the lockmaster at Davis Lock.

      This is a photograph of the Paris Lawn Bowling Club and other bowlers during a tournament at the Paris Lawn Bowling Clubhouse on May 25, 1908. At this tournament the Paris team played St. George, Troy, and possibly Brantford Teams. The original clubhouse is present in the photograph.

      This is a picture of Mary (Anderson) Monture. She was born in 1884. She married Clayton Monture who was a twin. His twin was Claybran Ira Monture.

      Four friends went to Brantford Colligate Institute. Names from L-R Allie Bomberry, Edith Anderson (Monture), Lucy Keye (Mrs.George Hill), Flossie Miller (married Herb Jamieson) Allie (Johnson?)Bomberry - later married Albert Anderson and then "Big Train" Hill, also had a son Chester Bomberry. Flossie Miller is Minnie Miller Anderson's older sister.
