      Mackey Park is situated where St. Narcissus Parish used to be located. The church was demolished in 1950 when the Des Joachims (Swisha) Dam rose the water level of the Ottawa River. The community of Mackey Station (now called Mackey) had to be relocated to higher ground.

      This wall hanging was presented by the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario to the Province of Ontario for the province's bi-centennial on June 11, 1984. It is on display at the Legislature, Queen's Park, Toronto. This image was taken from an FWIO hasti-note package.

      This plaque was erected by the Brooksdale Women's Institute in 1984 as part of the Ontario Bicentennial Project.
